ABOUT Patrick
Patrick Dalton is a drummer/percussionist and multi-instrumentalist based out of Weymouth, MA. A graduate of Berklee College of Music as well as Lesley University, Patrick has a wealth of experience teaching music lessons in private, small group, and classroom settings. Patrick has worked as an instructor for private companies, public day camps, and community organizations as well as retaining an Adjunct Faculty position teaching drumming classes at the University Level.

In addition to years of experience teaching private drum, piano, guitar and bass lessons, Patrick is also a Board Certified Music Therapist. This training has informed Patrick’s teaching approach, bringing him an awareness of various learning styles and strategies to sustain students' engagement with music.
Patrick is also an active live performer, playing consistently for a variety of professional bands. With a combination of extensive stage experience and theoretical grounding, Patrick possesses a skill set that makes him a highly effective instructor. The philosophy of the Patrick Dalton Groove Academy is: “learning music should be fun!”

PRIVATE lessons on DRUMs, PIANO, GUITAR AND BASS
The PDGA offers private music instruction on drums, piano, guitar, and bass. Brass, woodwind and voice lessons can be scheduled on request. Lessons are designed to meet each student's individual needs. Whether the goal is to excel in the school jazz band, learn face-melting drum solos, or simply enrich one's life with the gift of music, the PDGA will specifically strategize lesson plans to meet the goals of each student.

Group classes
Coming soon! The PDGA "rock band" classes are an EXCELLENT way for students to practice their skills in an ensemble setting. Private lessons are strongly encouraged while students are enrolled in group classes. If you are interested in a group class please fill out the ""Rock Band Request"."

Skype/facetime lessons
The PDGA offers Skype/Facetime lessons. Generally the PDGA will encourage some face to face lessons as a supplement to Skype/Facetime lessons, however these can be a great way to continue learning for the busy or remote student.
