About Patrick Dalton

Patrick Dalton is drummer/percussionist and multi-instrumentalist based out of Hingham, MA. A graduate of Berklee College of Music and Lesley University, Patrick has a wealth of experience teaching in private, small group, and classroom settings. Patrick has worked as an instructor for private companies, public day camps, and community organizations while retaining an Adjunct Faculty position teaching drumming classes at the University Level. 

In addition to years of experience teaching private drum, piano, guitar, and bass lessons, Patrick is also a Board Certified Music Therapist. This training has formed Patrick’s teaching approach, bringing him an awareness of various learning styles and strategies to sustain students' engagement with music.

Patrick is an active live performer playing for a variety of professional bands. With a combination of extensive stage experience and theoretical grounding, Patrick possesses a skill set that makes him a highly effective instructor.  The philosophy of the Patrick Dalton Groove Academy: “learning music should be fun!” 

Patrick and his wife Emily along with their two children live in Hingham, MA.
